Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Utilities & Facilities (U&F) Technician and helper to join our Maintenance team. Based in Tetla, Mexico, candidates will be responsible for executing and adhering to asset and U&F preventive maintenance plans. Likewise, they must ensure the reliability of the plant's equipment and buildings. The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment, performing tests and completing reports, upgrading and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing defective equipment. You must collaborate with other professionals and be able to make helpful recommendations whenever possible.

Required Knowledge

• Industrial mechanics, pneumatics, and industrial hydraulics.

• Instrumentation and metrology

• Conference and interpretation of electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.

• Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): basic

• Medium and low voltage electrical management

 • Daily monitoring of electrical substations and substations.

• Cooling tower systems

• Compressed air systems

• Fire protection systems

• Air conditioning systems

• Handling of hand tools (grinders, drill presses, etc.)

• Preparation and development of electrical installations with different voltages such as 110V, 220V, and 480V. Interpretation of single-line and control electrical diagrams.

• Preparation and development of pneumatic installations and experience in preventive maintenance of screw air compressors, refrigeration and/or desiccant dryers. Also experience in handling support equipment such as pneumatic purge valves, oil-water separators, etc.

• Preparation and development of air conditioning equipment installations such as mini-split systems, from defining the bill of materials, mechanical and electrical installation, testing, start-up, and equipment maintenance.

• Maintenance of pumps of different capacities.

• Experience in plumbing, drywall, masonry, welding, and general facility maintenance.

 Job Responsibilities

 • Work daily to achieve challenges and objectives related to Safety, Environment, Quality, Production, Costs, and Maintenance.

• Development of activities based on regulations related to safety and environment policies, quality, purchasing, and compliance; and awareness of the impact these have on company processes.

• Ensure that department tasks are executed safely and under control through daily work to strengthen the safety culture.

• Ensure a clean and orderly work area, aligned with the company's established 6S program.

• Develop technical and leadership skills within the maintenance team to strengthen a culture of preventive and predictive maintenance.

• Maintain electrical distribution, treated water, filtration systems, and compressed air equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data.

• Document findings and data collected during inspections and/or maintenance performed on equipment and facilities.

• Work as a team with various maintenance department collaborators and provide support in maintenance activities (electrical mechanic).

• Organization, storage, and reporting of information: collaborate and complement the information in reports that feed the department's KPIs (Downtime, MTTR, MTBF, PMP, Backlogs, etc.) to execute correct and efficient maintenance planning.

• Reporting: Must maintain constant communication with management and coordination, as well as with technicians for data collection and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for service equipment such as: compressors, substations, pump systems, cooling towers, lighting systems, fire systems, perimeter security systems, etc.

• Facility Management (U&F): Conduct periodic facility inspections to identify potential issues requiring attention before they become serious failures. This includes reviewing security systems, infrastructure, common areas, and services that support processes.

• Technical degree, diploma, engineering: Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, Electrical, Electromechanics, or related field.
