We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician – Industrial Mechanics.
Purpose of the RoleTo maintain and improve the mechanical technical conditions of production equipment in order to meet production and quality requirements, while adhering to health, safety, quality, and production standards. You will contribute to building team capabilities and process knowledge, using and complying with all standard OPEN+ systems and tools according to the Equipment Line Pillar steps and Site Phase. You will also perform assigned OPEN+ Champion roles to support capability development within your team.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability to prevent harm to people, assets, or society.Promote and act within an interdependent and transparent safety culture, encouraging a preventive and predictive approach in line with OPEN+/IOS.Ensure compliance with all PMI and legal quality standards for incoming materials, semi-finished goods (SFGs), and finished goods (FGs), in line with the Quality Management System (QMS).Collaborate proactively with the Quality department to implement and execute quality programs aimed at preventing incidents and eliminating non-conformities, ensuring product integrity.Work closely with team members to deliver the highest level of satisfaction to both internal and external consumers, using OPEN+/IOS tools.Execute and suggest improvements for advanced maintenance activities.Lead and participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in advanced problem-solving activities (e.g., PM Card, IDA, UPS).Ensure adherence to the change management process for technical (mechanical) process modifications.Prepare and update standard machine/process settings and troubleshooting lists, and communicate them to line crews, technical services, and other relevant stakeholders.Participate as an SME in equipment installations and modifications.Act as the first point of contact for incident troubleshooting, performing basic verification checks.Analyze and improve production processes using appropriate OPEN+ tools to eliminate losses.Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and productivity standards of assigned equipment through a zero-loss mindset and the application of kaizen activities, problem-solving, and OPEN+ methodologies.Actively participate as a member of a self-sufficient, autonomous team to drive cultural transformation aligned with the OPEN+/IOS journey.Coach others in the use of PM Pillar tools.Share all relevant information to ensure smooth production operations within and between teams, as well as with support groups and project managers.Complete required documentation and enter data into information systems in a timely manner to ensure product traceability and equipment intervention records.Take ownership of your training plan and comply with the requirements outlined in the Qualification Matrix.Skills and CompetenciesTechnical education (Secondary Technical School or Technical University)Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial environment or similar activitiesProficiency in the local languageMechanical-specific skillsStrong troubleshooting abilitiesBasic IT skills (Microsoft Office)What We OfferLocal contract with a competitive salaryTabaqueira employee benefits, including:Life and Health InsuranceEmployee Pension PlanHybrid working modelGrowth opportunities within the company, both nationally and internationallyDevelopment opportunities in both Controlling and Business Partnering areasA highly diverse and international work environmentPlease note: Only online applications will be considered
