Join our CT Innovation Hub in Rydalmere, Sydney, as a Systems Test Engineer and lead complex projects that develop cutting-edge processes for our Medical Device operations. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact globally while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

 

In this role, you'll utilise your technical expertise to shape the test system strategy and implement advanced manufacturing solutions. Your leadership will drive medium-to-high complexity projects, aligning with our strategic goals. You'll also advance new technologies and promote design for excellence (DfX) principles throughout product development.

 

 

As part of the Medical Devices & Combination Products (MDCP) cluster, you'll work with the Device Automation Team, which develops and manages automation assembly, testing systems, and packaging for medical devices, ensuring compliance and efficiency. We provide expert technical support, assist in product launches, and manage complex automation projects with trusted partners.

Innovate: Develop and implement system test solutions for complex electromechanical assemblies and combination products. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. Lead: Review and analyze system specifications. Spearhead the development of next-generation test equipment fixtures and processes, identifying opportunities and risks to ensure the successful launch of medical devices.Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and manufacturing sites to deliver projects on time and within budget, minimizing disruptions.Educate: Mentor junior engineers and promote DfX initiatives to foster a culture of excellence in product development. Execute: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Execute test cases (manual or automated), analyze results and document test reports.

 

 

 

Does this sound like you?

 

Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years in the medical device sector, with hands-on experience in systems test processes across specialties such as process manufacturing, electromechanical engineering, and Design for Excellence (DfX). Familiarity with software development best practices and proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C, Java, C#). Knowledge of MCAD and ECAD tools is essential.

 

Analytical Skills: Expertise in statistical analysis and tools for data interpretation, trend identification, and solution implementation to enhance systems testing accuracy and efficiency. Experience with dashboard development in informatics tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

 

Leadership & Mentorship: Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams in both peer-to-peer and managerial capacities.

 

Project Management: At least 5 years of end-to-end project management experience for medium to high complexity projects, specifically in new product development and design control environments. Ability to promote DfX principles throughout the product lifecycle.

 

Problem Solving: Strong technical foundation with a pragmatic and creative approach to problem-solving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
