Systems Technician
Job Description Job Description: The Systems Technician will be responsible for performing assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. In this role you respond to warranty calls-troubleshooting and resolving HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Key Responsibilities: Upload/Download system-level controller software. Performs commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation. Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. Calibrates systems requiring electronic test equipment. Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Document changes and provides information for as-built documentation. Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. Completes daily safety pre-job checklists. Skills and Requirements Demonstrated basic knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems. (2-3 years+) Basic skills with test equipment and software tools related to commissioning of controls systems (i.e. VAVs/UHs/CUHs/FCUs PTP, BACnet troubleshooting, etc.) . Basic understanding of electrical circuitry as they pertain to HVAC controls and their operation. Comfortable using hand tools. Basic computer skills and demonstrated technical aptitude.
