Systems Support Technician Entry Level

Provide IT support to local team including fielding questions regarding desktop hardware configuration and upgrades, monitoring, software installations, hardware upgrades, imaging and PC deployment. Manage a Windows Environment, (AD account maintenance, security groups and permissions. Microsoft Exchange 2010, printer queues) check data back-ups and restore and report any issues with any overnight back-up failures. Use ServiceNow ticketing management system to help resolve requests and incidents generated by team.
Manage all operations of a facility maintenance storeroom by performing proper care and maintenance of materials, equipment, and supplies including managing inventory through ordering, receiving, warehousing, and distributing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide IT end-user assistance to 30 employees as well as security department staff
* Administration of Milestone and Alibi NVR systems
* Support/perform CCTV camera analog and IP maintenance
* Support VoIP system
* Administration of Lenel OnGuard security system software and hardware
* Support/perform solar controller maintenance
* Administer/maintain radio bridges
* Manage/Administer Cisco Meraki MX84 security appliance and L2TP VPN
* Manage/administer Fortinet firewall and SSL VPN
* Support IT stock-related duties, including returning, packing, and labeling supplies
* Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control for IT equipment
* Recommend improvements and modifications to design, equipment selection, procedures, process and equipment to standardize and optimize IT equipment.
* Comply with all established safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and prints, ability to do various forms of paperwork (written), possess adequate math skills commensurate with the requirements of the trade.
* Complies and reports non-compliance with OMI and Project Policies and Procedures
* Monitors, utilizes and modifies the CMMS system to assure maximum effectiveness; provides required and appropriate documentation for IT equipment.
* Attends and conducts meetings and training sessions pertaining to: safety, process control, etc
* Maintains clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
* Maintains discipline and ensures proper procedures are followed
* Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
* Performs other duties as required
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server 2016 and 2019, Microsoft SQL Server, and Windows 10. (MCSA preferred)
* Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS, switches, VLANS (CCNA preferred)
* Cisco Meraki MX84 security appliance and L2TP VPN administration
* Fortinet firewall and SSL VPN administration
* Full understanding of Windows Environment and extensive experience with MS Office Suite
* A+ Certification
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
Preferred Qualifications
* Solar controller maintenance
* Experience with VoIP
* Familiarity on administration of Lenel OnGuard security system software and hardware
* Familiarity on Ubiquiti airOS and administering radio bridges
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
* The work area can involve a working environment indoors and outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements requiring proper environmental attire.
* Occasionally work on ladders at heights of 8 feet or more.
* Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
* Ability to work unscheduled hours during emergency and/or unusual situations (24 hours / 7 day’s week).
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to work in a variety of physically awkward positions, such as; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, squatting, twisting of the upper body, bending, and lying prone as one works on various types of installations.
* On occasion will sit or stand upright for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to walk carrying tools and equipment.
* Must be able to raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on equipment.
* Must have vision sufficient to service equipment and be able to distinguish colors.
* Must have hearing in the normal range with or without correction.
* In an 8-hour shift must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, push carts; wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
* Ability to work unscheduled hours during emergency and/or unusual situations (24 hours / 7 day’s week).
