Responsible for system and application administration ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and objectives. This role focuses on user issue resolution, monitoring of the applications, coordinating activities across internal IT teams and external vendors, and ensuring compliance with established standards. **What You’ll Work On** + Provide User support (L2) for a large global Windchill PLM system and other systems managed by the team + Work with vendors (including PTC), infrastructure teams (OS, Hardware, database, Networking) to find resolution to the issues + Create and update best practices / knowledge base articles for troubleshooting and solving user issues + Provide rotating on-call support during the weekends + Provide support in gathering hardware specifications and requesting the hardware and OS builds of the systems + Provide support during the application installations and upgrades + Provide support with on-going application maintenance including Logs management, Queue Management, Certificate updates, Password resets, and application restarts + Provide support during system maintenance activities including coordinating with infrastructure teams for OS patches, deploying application patches + Provide support during Windchill project deployment activities + Perform periodic data refreshes the non-production environments as demanded by the projects + Set up application user access for non-production systems + Monitor and provide support for optimal system performance by working with infrastructure teams and vendors including PTC. Maintain service account profiles used by the application. + Perform application data loads based on the directions provided by Windchill technical team + Develops technical disaster recovery plans and participates in testing. + Designs, tests and implements system security. + Provide support in maintaining the scheduled jobs and scripts + Monitor the scheduled jobs + Keeps informed of trends and new developments in technology to better advise management of systems goals + Communicates effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systems + Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. **Key Responsibilities** : + User Support + Application and System Administration + System Builds + Performance Monitoring + Installation / upgrade **Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:** + 2-year Tech college or bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience + 3+ years of relevant experience in user support and system administration preferably Windchill PLM. + Strong understanding of Windchill application architecture(clustered). + Familiarity navigating Windows/Linux server environments. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. + Excellent communication and customer service skills. + Able to bridge communication between technical areas and cross continents. + Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. + Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Certifications such as are preferred + Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl), is a plus + Experience with PTC Creo and other CAD tools is a plus. + Basic Oracle knowledge is a plus + Experience with supporting integrations between PLM and ERP/MES/Learning management Systems is a plus **Misc:** This is an onsite role at Abbott locations in **MN.** This is not a remote role/opportunity.
