IT Operations Systems Monitoring Analyst

HOW A IT System Monitoring ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Monitoring and analyzing system performance, network integrity, and operational infrastructuresIdentifying potential issues and implementing preventative measuresDevelop, maintain, and provision operational reports and dashboards that provide status of operational activities, production issues and key operational metricsCreates data models that depict trends in the organization and its business processes.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issuesOversee and maintain network securityCompile and analyze data to identify trends and improve system performancePerform regular system auditsWork closely with technical staff to ensure system efficiencyDocument issues and solutions for future referenceConducting regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of systems to ensure optimal performanceGenerating and presenting reports on system performance, problems, and resolutionsCollaborating with other team members to identify and implement system improvementsProviding technical support and troubleshooting assistance to usersEnsuring adherence to data management and security protocolsMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system monitoringTraining staff in new technologies and systems monitoring procedures

Qualifications

2-4 years of IT Operations support experienceProven work experience working in IT Operations and/or infrastructure supportExperience working with industry leading infrastructure monitoring toolsExcellent knowledge of network protocols and infrastructureAbility to diagnose and resolve technical issuesUnderstanding of system security and data backupStrong problem-solving and communication skillsKnowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologiesBSc degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant fieldSecurity Clearance Level: DOE Q or TSRequired Skills and Abilities: Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, and Teamwork. Location: Germantown, MD or Albuquerque, NM

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
