The Opportunity:

At Photonics Ops South, A CACI Company, we specialize in the design, development and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art systems for military, space, and commercial applications.  Our products include optical and RF communication systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems.

We are currently looking for an Integration and Test Engineer with experience in electro-optical system integration, system test planning, and system test execution.


Responsibilities:

Hardware/software and opto-mechanical system integrationDevelopment of system-level test plans, based on system requirementsDevelopment of system test approaches and test fixtures, especially for optical systemsDefinition and execution of system optical and/or communication performance-testsPrototype module test and debug supportSupport of optical, electrical and mechanical component selection and testSystem-level troubleshootingDevelop documentation to support troubleshooting efforts


Qualifications:

Required: 

3+ years’ experience in bring-up of electro-optical systemsExperience using equipment such as VOAs, OSAs, Power Meters, oscilloscopesUnderstanding of communications: serial, USB, ethernetUnderstanding of electronic, optical, and mechanical systemsSelf-motivated and self-directed individual, with little supervision necessaryExcellent verbal and written communication skills.


Desired:

Experience with a programming language for bench tests, Python preferred

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
