Job Description
We are seeking a System Integration Analyst IV who is motivated by variety, seeks a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the utility business-side configuration of AspenTech’s SOM (Switch Order Management) product. This role requires deep expertise in configuring and optimizing SOM to support business operations, streamline workflows, and ensure seamless switch order management processes. This position is remote, though occasional travel to Washington may be required.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct proof of concept for AspenTech Switch Order Management (SOM) basic functions and utility distribution switch order business processes.
+ Provide scope and requirements documentation to complete the implementation and configuration of the SOM product.
+ Configure and customize AspenTech Switch Order Management (SOM) to meet business requirements, including defining and managing different switch types to support operational needs.
+ Set up and maintain different request types for switch order processes.
+ Design and optimize Switch Order & Request workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.
+ Customize the layout of Switch Orders for user-friendly interfaces and operational clarity.
+ Configure individual step grids and rules to enforce business logic and process requirements.
+ Facilitate configuration between the SOM and Outage Management System (OMS) modules.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SOM configurations and inter-product configurations between SOM and AspenTech’s OMS product.
+ Build SOM interfaces leveraging WebMethods or APIs.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
+ Provide documentation on SOM-related data mapping, configurations, testing, and best practices.
+ Support testing and validation of configurations during system updates or enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ 5+ years of IT analyst experience.
+ 3 years of experience in switch operations IT projects in utility distribution.
+ Proven expertise in business-side configuration of AspenTech SOM, with hands-on experience in configuring various switch types and request types.
+ Experience in building and optimizing Switch Order & Request workflows, designing Switch Order layouts for operational efficiency, and setting up individual step grids and rules to enforce business processes.
+ Strong understanding of switch order management processes in utility distribution.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Experience with system testing and documentation, including scope, business process, and test cases.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience in the utility industry with AspenTech products.
+ Formal training in AspenTech SOM and ADMS/OMS products for the utility industry.
+ Familiarity with related AspenTech tools or other switch order management systems.
+ Familiarity with AspenTech’s Outage Management Systems (OMS) or other outage management systems.
+ Knowledge of integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA, or CRM).
Work Environment
This position offers a remote work environment with occasional travel to Seattle, WA to support the customer site.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
