Description:
You will be the Systems Engineer Staff (MPE IPT) for the F-35 Mission Planning Environment (MPE) Sustainment and Agile Team. The MPE team provides F-35 ground mission planning, mission debrief, security and sensor reprogramming capabilities. The Sustainment team is a team of engineers responsible for providing MPE hardware and software installation support, familiarization training, user documentation creation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and field support to US and international locations. The MPE Agile teams design, develop and integrate F-35 MPE software and hardware, in a customized Agile framework to allow for quick development and inclusion of anomaly corrections, capability enhancements, and product improvements.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Staff (MPE IPT) you will be responsible for:
• Support development of ground-based software and implementation of security protocols
• Development and maintenance of training material for the setup and operations of the MPE
• Development and maintenance of MPE system user documentation
• Coordinate and support onsite installation of updated software products
• Identify/resolve MPE system anomalies and shortfalls
• Interact with users and act as a Subject Matter Expert for MPE
• Interface with multiple internal and external customers in support of product improvements
While not supporting specific Sustainment or Agile team efforts, this candidate may provide subject matter expertise to support software testing, software and tool development and training curriculum development efforts to further enhance/improve the products provided to the field.

Further Information About This Opportunity
This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.
This position may require travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, extended periods, and short-notice trips, to support program requirements, customer needs, and work-related events, such as visits to customer sites and conferences.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, etc.) with the ability to obtain and maintain within a specified timeframe
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (such as Aeronautical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics) or equivalent experience and combined education that demonstrates a strong foundation in technical principles and practices
Desired Skills:
• Proven experience collaborating with multiple engineering teams, including systems, software, hardware, and test teams, to achieve common goals and objectives, with a strong ability to communicate technical information and coordinate efforts across teams
• F-35 Mission Planning and/or Mission Systems experience, wih a strong understanding of related systems and software (e.g. PFPS, WPS, CWDS, JWS, EWCC, SPT, PCDS).
• COMSEC handling experience and familiarity with secure communication protocols.
• Proficiency in COTs and GOTs software related to mission planning and debrief.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.
• Experience with Agile software development processes and associated tools, such as VersionOne and JIRA.
• Proven ability to manage and lead technical projects or elements within technical projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of management and service personnel.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows IT systems, including administration, installation, training, and technical customer service.
• Familiarity with military aircraft operational sites, flight test sites, and production operations.
• Experience interacting with military aircraft acquisition, user, and maintainer customers.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and experience as a technical lead.
• Project engineering and project leadership experience, with a focus on systems engineering.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, diverse team environment and build strong relationships across geographic and organizational boundaries.
• Self-motivated and organized, with strong presentation and customer service skills.
• Experience with Logistics & Sustainment of advanced military aircraft, including the F-35 program.
• Strong understanding of the F-35 system design, operation, and diagnostics, including Air Vehicle and Mission Systems.
• Ability to drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction and understand the financial impacts of decisions and actions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
