Kforce has a client that is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer III in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities: * Systems Engineer III will contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity especially as it relates to rapid test iteration * Develop software tooling for operations to keep things running and highly available * Troubleshoot software and hardware problems on hardware equipment * Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability * Design, set up and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware * Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using multi-threaded programming, distributed programming in Java and C++, JDBC, SQL, Object Oriented design and design patterns, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems in a Linux environment * Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translating requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture * As a Systems Engineer III, you will own delivery of entire pieces of system or application, and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards * Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation * Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and travel for onsite troubleshooting or project launch
