As our next Systems Engineer II, you will be provided with the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the systems engineering lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be to focus on test planning, design, execution, and analysis to ensure the performance and reliability of our aerospace and defense systems.
What YOU Will Do:
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with program requirements.
Define test objectives, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
Translate system and component requirements into detailed test cases.
Design functional, integration, performance, and stress test scenarios.
Select and configure appropriate test tools, equipment, and environments.
Conduct manual and automated test activities in laboratory, simulation, and/or field environments.
Operate specialized test equipment and instrumentation to validate system performance.
Document and evaluate results, identifying variances against requirements.
Analyze test data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
Prepare clear and concise test reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
Accurately capture and communicate anomalies, defects, and system behaviors.
Collaborate with design, software, and systems engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and standards.
Ensure adherence to applicable industry, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, MIL-STD, DO-178C).
Support audits, certifications, and customer verification activities.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
One (1) year of experience with test planning, design, and execution methodologies.
One (1) year of experience with industry standards and regulatory compliance (ISO, MIL-STD, DO-178C).
Qualifications We Prefer:
Master's degree in a relevant field.
One (1) year in test automation tools and scripting languages.
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.
Certification in relevant industry standards (e.g., ISTQB, CSEP).
Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams.
Experience performing test and integration functions in lab and field environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
