Job Description:
SimIS, Inc. seeks Systems Engineers II to perform systems engineering functions including requirements synthesis, verification planning, systems analysis, and design coordination for training simulation systems. This position supports the development and maintenance of shore-based training systems across multiple SCSTC locations.
The candidate performs the following specific assignments:Use experience and knowledge with U.S. Navy simulation system integration and testing activitiesSupport systems engineering processes including requirements management and configuration controlSupport verification and validation activities for complex Navy systemsExperience Required:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field Three to seven (3-7) years of U.S. Navy systems engineering experienceExperience with simulation system integration and testing activitiesKnowledge of systems engineering processes including requirements management and configuration controlExperience supporting verification and validation activities for complex systemsFamiliarity with military training systems and combat system simulationsMandatory: Must meet DOD 8570 requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level ISECRET clearance Experience Desired:Preferred: Master's degree in related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificationExperience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teamsExperience with government reporting requirements and CDRL deliverablesExperience with DoD acquisition processesSpecial Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience with NSWCDD or Navy programsBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision Short Term Disability (at no cost to you) & Long Term Disability Life Insurance Flex Spending Accounts 401(k) Savings Plan Tuition Assistance Program Professional Development Paid Time Off (PTO) 11 Federal Holidays each year SimIS, Inc. is an AA / EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free Employer
