Collins Aerospace is looking for an experienced Reliability & Safety Engineer with 2-5 years of experience working with electronic and mechanical systems. This engineer will be responsible for performing Reliability and Safety analysis for new and existing avionics product designs.
This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, Florida.
**What You Will Do :**
+ Perform Reliability analysis such as Reliability Predictions, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
+ Perform safety assessment process in accordance with ARP4761 or MIL-STD-882E, including but not limited to, Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs)
+ Support systems, hardware, and software engineering teams in defining system safety requirements during development activity
+ Review of design and development documentation for safety critical functions
+ Mentor and train less experienced RMS engineers
+ Accountable to team members and organizational leadership for committed work and responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain expertise in assigned areas (program, function, process, technology, etc)
+ Collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and organizational leaders to develop plans
+ Use your effective oral/written communication skills (including technical writing)

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
+ **U.S. citizenship is required** , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
+ Basic circuit analysis knowledge is required.
+ Ability to read schematics and electronic specifications
+ Basic knowledge of reliability analysis techniques
+ Knowledge of writing technical reports
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
+ Working knowledge of ARP4761 OR Mil-Std 882, basic knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-254, DO-178B/C, DO-297
+ Experience with CAFTA or similar Fault Tree analysis tools
+ Understanding of Project Management

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
