SUMMARY To deliver desired, sustainable business outcomes and assure the integrity and continuity of our systems. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting AutoZone’s hardware, software, and/or network sub-systems. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, mentoring less experienced AutoZoners, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required. RESPONSIBILITIES + Participates in any and potentially all roles of the sub-systems development life cycle. + Roles may vary by project and assignment. This may include, but is not limited to: developing and/or maintaining software applications, debugging, Code, testing (QA/QE), writing documentation, roll out software, providing Production support, Gathering requirements, developing formal program specifications + Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment. Continuous learning of AutoZone Culture, Methodology, Architecture, and Software. (Own Professional Development) + Accurate work planning and execution; Accurate project and time tracking. + Mentor and teach less experienced AutoZoners REQUIREMENTS + Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent + Area of study: Computer Science or related field + Years of experience: 3-5 years. + Advanced proficiency with AutoZone software, architecture, and methodology. Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: Programming Languages (Java, C, C++) Databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix, DB2) BI / ETL tools (Talend, WebFocus) Shell scripting/Python + Solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills + Solid expertise in at least one technical area + Subject Matter Expert in ONE functional area + Advanced task estimation and planning skills + Ability to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision + Advanced professional English AutoZone, and its subsidiary, ALLDATA are equal opportunity employers.
