Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer – Supports requirements, validation, verification, and lab integration for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics in US Army SOA programs.

Job Requirements:

BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

5+ years of systems engineering experience.

Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS for requirements development and management.

Aerospace, avionics, or DoD program background.

Relevant systems engineering job experience on complex, safety- or mission-critical systems.

Working knowledge of avionics data buses and protocols, including Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429.

Preferred Skills:

Military avionics experience, particularly rotary-wing platforms.

Experience with MH-60, MH-47, or similar military helicopter platforms.

Experience using TNT, PREP, JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, SVN, and related engineering tools.

Experience with lab-based integration and troubleshooting of avionics hardware and government-furnished equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform design, requirements development, validation, and verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics.

Execute platform systems requirements-based testing, robustness testing, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment, including during formal test phases.

Support cross-functional development with external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams for various CAAS (Common Avionics Architecture System) builds.

Use TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft tools, SVN, and other engineering applications to perform daily systems engineering activities.

Investigate lab hardware and integration issues, including interfaces between Collins Aerospace equipment and government furnished equipment.

Maintain clear traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and test results within DOORS and associated toolchains.



Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
