**About the role and what you will be doing:**
As a system engineer, you will **play a crucial role in** our Hybrid Cloud POD **,** supporting mission-critical infrastructure for Ensono’s clients. **Your expertise will be instrumental in** resolving complex technical client incidents and problems, delivering a responsive and remarkable service **that our clients rely on** .
This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in Windows systems who is enthusiastic to expand their skills in a collaborative environment. Experience with Linux and AWS would be advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Provide technical support for Ensono client environments, resolving incidents and service requests escalated.
+ Perform problem management, helping to identify and tackle critical and recurring issues.
+ Support the change management process, including drafting and implementing changes under guidance.
+ Perform administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments.
+ Gain experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, AWS, and Azure).
+ Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises alongside senior engineers.
+ Support post-incident reviews and root cause analysis for client reporting
+ Collaborate with vendors and internal teams, escalating issues when required.
+ Continue developing technical expertise through training, mentorship, and exposure to clients.
+ Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, if required.
**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Possess a strong understanding of Windows server administration and troubleshooting.
+ Experience in Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with AWS environments.
+ Additional preferred knowledge: Azure, VMware, networking, and storage area networks.
+ Knowledge of ITIL and its function within IT.
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
+ Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
**Experience**
+ 1-2 years of experience in a systems engineer role (Windows/Linux/AWS).
+ Experience working within a managed services environment is advantageous.
+ Knowledge of working in an ITIL environment.
**Certifications**
+ Engineering certification in Microsoft, Red Hat, AWS, or Azure is desirable.
+ ITIL Foundation.
