Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Systems Engineer to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA, to support our Product Manager Force Protection Systems contract. The successful candidate will provide scientific oversight and technical knowledge in Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) development.
Responsibilities
Provide expert support, analysis, and research on exceptionally complex problems including technical direction, interpretation, system design, interoperability, and alternative solutions for current and future systems.Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews such as System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and assist in defining appropriate entrance and exit criteria for those reviews.Support requirements and capabilities gap analysis in accordance with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process, and translate user capability needs/requirements into performance specifications for all program systems.Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams and lead technical working groups to support product development, working closely with the product manager, functional support, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).Provide expertise in developing documents including Technology Readiness Levels documentation for hardware and software, Engineering Change Proposals, Program Baselines, Engineering Risk Assessments, and Technical Manuals.Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.Five years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization.Secret Clearance (interim acceptable).Additional Skills & Qualifications
Configuration Management and Engineering Change Proposal support experience for current Programs of Record and Quick Reaction Capability projects.Engineering support experience for current Programs of Record and Quick Reaction Capability projects.A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline with ten years of experience may substitute for a master’s degree.Work Environment
This position requires working 5 days on site at Fort Belvoir. The role will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in a Government office setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
