Job Title: Systems Engineer

Description

We are currently recruiting a Systems Engineer to join our team at Fort Belvoir, VA to support our Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) contract.

The successful candidate will provide scientific oversight and technical knowledge in Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) development.

Duties:

Provides expert support, analysis, and research on exceptionally complex problems including technical direction, interpretation, system design, interoperability, and alternative solutions for current and future systems.

Participates in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (such as System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, etc.) and assists in defining appropriate entrance and exit criteria for those reviews.

Supports requirements and capabilities gap analysis IAW the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process, and translation of user capability needs/requirements into performance specifications for all program systems.

Serves as a technical expert on executive level project teams and lead technical working groups to support product development, working closely with the product manager, functional support, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Provides expertise in developing documents to include Technology Readiness Levels documentation for hardware and software, Engineering Change Proposals, Program Baselines, Engineering Risk Assessments, and Technical Manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.

-Five (5) years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization. (such as System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, etc)

-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, and 10 years of experience may substitute for master’s degree.

-Secret Clearance (interim acceptable)

Specialized Experience Preferred;

•\tConfiguration Management and Engineering Change Proposal support experience for current PM FPS Programs of Record (PoRs) and Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) pr.

•\tEngineering support experience for the current PM FPS PoRs and QRCs.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
