PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems. This role is at the heart of mission-critical innovation, applying interdisciplinary expertise to ensure system compatibility, performance, and lifecycle success. You’ll work across engineering domains to define requirements, validate solutions, and resolve cross-functional technical challenges.

What You’ll Do

Apply a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, and verify system-of-systems solutions

Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility

Perform analyses for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, and regulatory compliance

Lead affordability and survivability assessments to optimize system architecture

Develop and improve processes for requirements management, risk mitigation, and technology readiness

Resolve cross-functional technical issues and ensure alignment across engineering disciplines

Support digital engineering initiatives including MBSE and open systems architecture (WOSA, FACE)

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mission success

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science

10+ years of engineering experience across multiple domains

3+ years of direct Systems Engineering experience

Hands-on experience deploying programs/products from design to fielding

Experience in multiple engineering disciplines such as:

Electrical or Mechanical Design

Software/Firmware Design and Testing

Test Engineering (HIL/SIL)

Manufacturing or Process Engineering

Familiarity with INCOSE SEP certification or graduate-level systems training

Knowledge of Defense Acquisition University systems engineering principles

Experience with digital engineering tools and methodologies

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.       

Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in proposal development and technical solutioning

Understanding of PMP or Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts

Experience supporting defense or weapons systems programs

Strong background in cross-functional collaboration and government customer engagement

Pay Details: $69.62 per hour
