Program Summary

KBR’s Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army’s Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.

Job Summary

Applies a comprehensive and detailed understanding of rotorcraft missions and systems to provide wide-ranging programmatic and technical systems support to the PEO Aviation office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Performs and oversees all lifecycle phases of Systems Engineering to include identification and management, analysis of alternatives, architecture development, systems software, integration, testing, deployment, performance-based logistics, and disposal of systems. Employs systems engineering and analytical techniques to complex projects to determine how they should be designed and managed. Provides technical and programmatic support to programs in support of DoD Programs and technology development.  Provides analysis and recommendations as necessary to minimize product/program/system risk and maximize effectiveness. Applies expert knowledge of assigned products/programs/systems that is informed by a comprehensive understanding of the greater mission context, DoD systems development process, and stakeholder roles and requirements to ensure concepts, ideas, and expectations are communicated accurately and effectively among all customers. Applies knowledge of systems engineering methods to assess and evaluate the status, effectiveness, and efficiency of programs and technologies. Develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and program administration. Lead small to large systems engineering and analysis efforts, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline or BS in a related technical disciplineAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearanceMinimum 5 years of related experienceUp to 25% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

 Existing Security clearanceExperience in requirements verification and evaluation of evidence for verificationExperience in requirements management and requirement document management, including parent specification, subsystem specifications, and ICDs.IBM Rational DOORSExperience in risk management and evaluation, including identifying and assessing risks on program cost, schedule, and performance, establishing risk mitigation activities, and facilitating risk review boards.Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as MagicDraw or Cameo
