Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a mechanical focus to support a weapon system program. As part of the interface management team, you will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. This role encompasses two primary functions: defining and allocating weapon system interface requirements through technical evaluations and interactions with government entities and other prime contractors, and enhancing the accuracy of impact assessments and compatibility verifications through digital engineering tools for model-based reviews. Limited travel to off-site locations may be required.
ResponsibilitiesDefine and allocate weapon system interface requirements.Conduct technical evaluations of requested interface changes.Interact with government activities and other prime contractors.Enhance the accuracy of impact assessments and compatibility verifications.Migrate existing artifacts into digital engineering tools for model-based review.Support system integration and analysis.Manage engineering change orders and interface management.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.2-6 years of experience.Understanding of basic engineering principles.Proficiency in requirements analysis, interface control, and design drawings.Experience with 3D design and parametric modeling, specifically using Creo.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organization, planning, and follow-up skills.Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with others.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficient with PC and office suite applications.Experience with system integration.Self-starter with demonstrated initiative.Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration with various teams using advanced digital engineering tools. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and adaptability, with occasional travel to off-site locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $74.00/hr.
