Essential Function
Works with customers to provide timely and professional support while maintaining hardware and software lifecycles, and documenting issues/resolutions for internal IT teams.
Primary Duties
25% Provide first level contact, log tickets, and convey resolutions to customer issues.
25% Deploy and maintain hardware and software in production environment. Manage warranties, repairs and firmware upgrades. Patch existing software according to vendor requirements and company SLA.
15% Properly escalate, track and redirect problems to correct resources.
10% Utilize excellent customer service skills, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution,
10% Maintain hardware and software inventory.
5% Document training materials, procedures and update knowledge base.
5% Participate in hardware and software evaluations.
5% Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• High School Education, Technical certifications or 2 + years’ experience preferred.
• Industry certifications (A+, Network +, CCNA, CCNP, MSCA, MCSP, Mobility+)
• 1-2 years in related fields.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work involves moderate activity. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of moderately heavy computer and network gear up to 50 lbs. Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs. and do moderate amount of physical activity.
