Responsibilities

Provide network system engineering services to assist the Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Chief Information Officer (CIO) with developing designs and configurations for JRM.Assist the JRM CIO with planning for system installations and upgrades.Build a network infrastructure, properly select commercial networking devices and generate necessary system diagramsWhen required, provide Tier III Systems and Network direct support and troubleshooting of respective classified and unclassified networks.Develop, review and provide recommended revision/updates to technical documents related to network design, configuration, sustainment, and upgrade.Gather, prepare and maintain articles supporting the Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processProvide senior level design and migration support for move to cloud architecture in Navy directed network consolidation when required. Provide CIO with subject matter expertise in establishing, implementing and documenting a design framework for managing post cloud transition while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and other applicable directivesMonitors and manages Server and Storage Infrastructure Documents all issues and resolution of issues using SharePoint FSET Engagement Status Reports and after-action reports. Provides reports to Fleet Readiness Directorate as directed.Provides OJT for systems for shore technicians. May be required to mentor civilian/government technicians.Candidate must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision in a high operations tempo environment and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Other than normal working hours may be required.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

BS in Information Technology (or equivalent technical degree) or 8+ years technical experience in related discipline required.6+ years of experience with DoD enterprise or Navy networks. Fleet experience highly desired.6+ years of experience in troubleshooting networks and operating system issues across multiple systems.

Skills:

Must be able to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity, for IT and RF communications systems, involving multiple sites and multiple systems.Must be able to provide OJT to technical personnelMust be able to read, understand and interpret technical documentation, schematics, SOPs, and other documents relating to the operation and configuration of Navy C4I SystemsMust be able to communicate well both orally and in writing.Must be able to communicate well with senior Navy officials and technical personnel.

Clearance:

Top Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Certifications:
