Systems Engineer – Senior Level

As a Systems Engineer - Senior Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for:

Providing operational support for a suite of complex legacy applications and servicesServing as the primary liaison between customers and the Tier 1 help desk (Outreach), addressing and resolving user issues promptlyAnalyzing and managing requirements and external dependencies, providing inputs to update product roadmap, and assisting in development of a Kanban-based processImproving software and system architecture for improved efficiency and reliabilityProviding after hours, on-call Tier III support as needed, in coordination with personnel/organizations providing Tier I and Tier II supportDocumenting and updating data models, schemas, APIs, and other technical specifications as neededProviding subject matter expertise to address technical questions from users Administering, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)Deleting problematic drafts and versions of drafts from database collectionsCollaborating with new staff members and the project lead, sharing project expertise and providing timely investigation and correction of project reporting issues

Supporting on-call rotations, being available 24/7 during assigned coverage periods, with a response time of within one hour of notification

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Twenty (20) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.Twenty-five (25) years total of SE experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree.

Required Qualifications: ​

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph ClearanceExperience serving as a Systems Engineer of software development teamsExperience developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standardsExperience assisting with development and execution of test procedures for software componentsExperience investigating and resolving obscure situations, policies, subtle bugs, and odd systems behaviors to ensure smooth operational functioningExperience writing or reviewing software system documentationExperience with generating technical documentationExperience working in an Agile software development environmentExperience using with Jira and Confluence

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$201,500 - $236,500
