Job Description:

Parsons welcomes an exceptional systems engineer to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the Parsons team supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you will have access to state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and subject matter expertise in the areas of radar, M&S, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Working as part of our high-caliber, dynamic team, you will support the advancement of approaches to develop and implement new radar concepts. You will have an opportunity to influence the development of next-generation advanced radar capabilities that will include being part of a high-performing team that will collaborate across programs to achieve end-to-end solutions, enhancing statistical radio-frequency signal analysis capabilities. 

Responsibilities:

Support planning and execution of a multi-year Department of Defense advanced radar projectSupport test planning activities and provide on-site test support to support radar division projectsAssist Government project lead with project management and technical work as neededSupport development of radar hardware testbed through subcontractSupport technical coordination and technical interchanges with internal and external organizations (e.g., US Navy, US Air Force) to address requirements definition, use case development, and subsystem integrationLeverage in-house MATLAB M&S tools to evaluate radar system Concept of Operations

Requirements:

BS (STEM) with a minimum of three years of relevant experienceExperience with all aspects of systems engineering, including developing, designing, allocating, and managing user and system-level requirements; leading the development of the system architecture; evaluating design tradeoffs; balancing technical risk between systems; defining and assessing interfaces; and providing oversight of verification and validation activitiesExperience in test and evaluation planningSystems engineering experience with radar/RF software (primary) and hardware (secondary) subsystemsClearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized material in relevant terms for audiences at all levelsThis position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

Desired Qualifications:

Specific experience with airborne radar systems for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)Five years or more of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysisExperience developing system architectures/frameworksHigh level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic and proactive in all manners related to the job.Experience with MATLAB

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
