As a Rule Stream, Technical Manager here at Honeywell India, you will play a crucial role in managing configuration of business-specific rules within our Engineering Configurator, Rule Stream, ensuring that our systems operate efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will be instrumental in testing, deploying, and training related to Rule Stream, ultimately driving operational excellence.
You will report directly to our Director Engineering, and you’ll work out of our India location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring that business Engineering rules across our GBEs are accurately configured and tested, leading to improved operational efficiency and compliance with business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Configure Business-Specific Rules: Analyze and manage business engineering requirements and translate them into effective configurations within Rule Stream. This includes defining the logic and parameters for rules that align with business processes and objectives.

Conduct Comprehensive Testing: manage development and execution of test plans to validate the functionality and performance of configured rules. This involves creating test cases, performing unit testing, and ensuring that all rules operate as intended under various scenarios.

Manage Deployment Processes: Oversee the deployment of Rule Stream configurations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions. This includes preparing deployment documentation and ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained prior to implementation.

Provide Training and Support: Design and deliver training sessions for team members and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Rule Stream functionalities. Offer ongoing support and guidance to users, addressing any questions or issues that may arise post-deployment.
•
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various departments to gather requirements, feedback, and insights that inform rule configurations. This collaboration ensures that the rules meet the needs of all stakeholders and align with overall business strategies.
•
Document Configurations and Procedures: Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, testing procedures, and training materials. This documentation serves as a reference for future modifications and ensures compliance with internal standards.

Monitor and Troubleshoot Issues: Proactively monitor the performance of Rule Stream configurations and conduct troubleshooting as needed. Address any issues that arise promptly to minimize disruptions to business operations.

Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of existing rules and configurations. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance performance and efficiency.
MAJOR KPIs
•
Access Change: Ensure timely and accurate changes to access configurations, tracking the number of changes made and their impact on system performance.
•
Impact: Assess and report the impact of rule changes on business operations, including metrics on efficiency improvements and compliance adherence.
•
Implement: Successfully implement rule configurations within agreed timelines, measuring the percentage of on-time implementations against targets.
•
Test: Conduct testing in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA), tracking the number of successful tests versus failures and ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly
•
Post implementation services – timely fixes of defects and enhancements post Go-Live
YOU MUST HAVE
•
Minimum of 15 years of experience in configuring and managing Rule Stream or similar rule-based systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of rule logic and configuration processes.
•
Proven expertise in testing methodologies and test scripting, with the ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans that ensure the reliability and performance of configured rules.
•
Strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret complex business requirements, translating them into effective and efficient rule configurations.
•
Familiarity with deployment processes and best practices in rule management, ensuring that all configurations are implemented smoothly and efficiently.
