The Systems Designer is responsible for supporting and coordinating business systems, processes, and cross-functional issue resolution rather than performing traditional CAD or drafting work. This role serves as a key point of contact for understanding how systems operate, identifying the right teams or stakeholders to engage when issues arise, and helping ensure efficient resolution of system-related challenges. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of operational workflows, system dependencies, and organizational processes. They are skilled at troubleshooting, communicating across teams, and navigating complex issues by connecting the right people, resources, and information. This position requires someone who is organized, collaborative, and comfortable working across functions to improve system performance and business continuity.

What you will bring:Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Design (or related discipline) and at least 4-years of relevant designer or IT work experience is required.Key Skills or Competencies:Strong understanding of business systems, workflows, and how processes connect across teamsAbility to quickly learn system dependencies, ownership, and escalation pathsAbility to identify root causes, assess issues, and determine the best path to resolutionSound judgment in deciding when to troubleshoot directly versus when to involve othersStrong ability to work across departments and build relationships with technical teams, operations, leadership, and end usersKnows how to engage the right people at the right timeExperience tracking issues, following through on action items, and ensuring timely resolutionAbility to document workflows, identify gaps, and recommend process improvementsFocus on consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvementAbility to manage multiple requests, priorities, and stakeholders at onceStrong attention to detail and follow-up
