Job Summary
Responsible for leading and advising on client engagements centered on improving operations, processes and financial performance across a variety of industry sectors and functional areas focused within solutions of our products mentioned above.
Responsibilities
· Drive strategy, design, and execution of potential customer solutions using a consultative approach
· Opportunities to provide system solutions consulting within various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, 3PLs, consumer products, retail and others
· Responsible for scoping, designing and presenting warehouse automation systems solutions to aligned project accounts in tandem with a Business Development Representative or Applications Engineer
· Collaboration on warehouse design, racking, conveyor, automated storage and retrieval systems, material handling robotics (goods-to-person robotics, etc.), operations consulting, and engineered solutions, as well as indirect responsibility for narrow and very narrow aisle equipment and telematics sales
· Assist client’s in bridging the gap between their needs, their data and what solutions Carolina Handling can provide, tailoring the solution to meet their specific requirements
· Prepare business requirements, provide data analytics of customer information and create system design documents
· Responsible for translating large complex client requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs through analysis of customer provided data
· Be able to draw rough outlined solutions in a CAD system (AutoCAD), SketchUp or similar program
· Stay aligned with current industry specific business processes, drivers, and issues determining professional consulting and engineering solutions
Requirements
All potential hires are subject to pre-employment checks which include but are not limited to background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle record checks.
· Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of related work experience
· 10+ years in Automated Material Handling, Warehouse Software (WMS/WES/WCS) and/or automation equipment within supply chain
· Extended knowledge of core processes within automation systems integration, intralogistics, warehouse solutions or material handling industry
· Ability to articulate the benefit and structure of solutions while understanding the technical aspects of clients and project teams
· Strong understanding of warehouse automation processes and best practices
· Fundamental awareness of common ERP/PLM platforms and data structures Intermediate level understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other) with experience working within several teams and projects
· Established track record of working directly with clients and teams with the ability to capture ideas and knowledge that will lead to significant value realization
· Great written and verbal communication skills (position requires significant face to face time with both customers and fellow employees)
· Familiar with discrete, lean, and process manufacturing methodologies
· Experience in Dynamics AX 2012 R2/R3, D365 Supply Chain, Azure services, MS Power Platform, VS and .Net, data migration, integration and/or performance optimization
· Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage
· You can travel as needed (30% to 50%)

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Additionally, the role often involves exposure to various outdoor weather conditions. The individual in this position must adeptly manage strict deadlines, shifting priorities, and a high volume of information flow while consistently upholding professionalism. Standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones are routinely utilized, and noise levels typically range from moderate to high.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required based on the location and scope of the project, for meetings and/or conferences.
