Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:
The Systems Architect is primarily responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Active Directory infrastructure and EntraID, This role manages physical and virtual computing infrastructure, including server installations, operating system upgrades, and hardware components, The position requires architect level expertise in AD/Azure/EntraID. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver technical projects, provides leadership in managing systems infrastructure, and ensures comprehensive documentation of all implementations and configurations.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and implement large-scale Active Directory deployments/migrations/upgrades.Act as escalation providing 3rd level technical support and troubleshooting for Active Directory and Entra ID services, collaborating with Microsoft to resolve complex issues. Perform health checks, discovery, and cleanup of AD/Entra ID infrastructure while documenting technical issues, analysis, and resolutions as part of cyber risk mitigation and client communication efforts.Collaborate with the Security department on EntraID design, implementation, and troubleshooting.Hands on experience with AD schema extensions, promoting new domain controllers, designing and building new Active Directory services.Troubleshooting replication, firewall configuration requirements for domain/domain client communications.Participate with domain migration and consolidation projects across complex enterprise environments.Develop and enforce Group Policy Objects (GPOs), domain trusts, and domain controller health.Analyzes causes of issues, delays, or problems and takes necessary corrective action to alleviate problem areas.Responsible for all activities related to system administration and continually reviews and improves the current process and procedures.Acts as a resource for other Systems Engineers and mentors less experienced co-workers.Participates in change control committee, providing input into all changes/additions to the system environment to ensure minimal disruption to production.Maintain awareness of and comply with all organizational safety practices and policies.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and / or equivalent work experience.10 years of relevant experience supporting and deploying complex Active Directory Domain Services.5 year of EntraID Architect Experience.Experience with EntraID / Azure Active Directory.Experience in AD Domain consolidation.Experience working with domain trusts and multi-forest / multi-domain organizations.Strong scripting skills (VB Script, PowerShell).Experience with on-prem, Cloud and hybrid directory environments.LDAP integration, Certificates, Group Policy Admin, Domain Controller deployment custom schema extensions, ADFS, PKI, and DNS.Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.Understanding of security best practices for AD, including tiered administration models.Excellent listening and organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-through.Able to organize and delegate tasks, coordinate projects and be willing to advise others.Skilled in project management and work plan development and implementation.Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to play an active role in a strong, cohesive and collaborative team.Must have strong customer service and ability to speak with all levels in the organization.Assist in the development of the strategic direction and vision for the enterprise.Exceptional communication and motivational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects with high priorities.Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
AWS, EntraID, Windows, and Linux certifications and training preferred.ITIL Certified.Additional InformationPay Rate: $140000 to $160000 Per Year.
