As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you are responsible for planning and performing services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. This includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.
As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Installing and commissioning Bently Nevada hardware and software in a wide variety of machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and other process industriesAssuring the service is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the customer's scheduleUnderstanding contractual commitments and scope of workCoordinating different personnel and groups involved in the service execution when applicableInstalling transducers and configure monitoring systemsIdentifying problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project/service success.Completing installation/commissioning documentationPerforming installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Bently Nevada Hardware and Software Products and Solutions at customer locationsCompleting standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements timelyDriving customer satisfaction through commitment to qualitySupporting the growth initiatives of the business

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services)Be available for extensive travel, up to 70%, and to work significant over-timePossess a valid driver's license.Desired Characteristics
Excellent oral and written communication skillsSolid interpersonal and leadership skillsExceptional problem-solving skillsElectronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. “Hands-on approach”Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; Experience working independently; Experience prioritizing, organizing work, and meeting deadlinesKnowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systemsFamiliarity with tools including but not limited to: Bently Nevada TK-Series Test Kits, Thermocouple Calibrator, RTD Calibrator, handheld DMM, function generator, power supply, , basic hand tools (training available as needed)Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical and electrical prints
