This position participates in the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of healthcare information systems. The role supports feasibility analysis, planning, estimating, prototyping, quality assurance, and optimization of automated and manual solutions.
You will collaborate with project teams involved in the development and implementation of clinical systems, recommends enhancements to improve system functionality and efficiency, and defines training requirements while assisting with end-user training for automated systems.
We will hire our Epic Systems Analyst in two different job titles, based on educational background:
Epic Systems Analyst II
Systems Analyst III
A caregiver in this role works Tues and Wed 8:00AM-5:00PM| Thurs 8:00am—12:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Epic Systems Analyst II
Interact with end-users as required to assist in problem definition and system design.
Coordinate and perform education and end-user training programs to assure systems are utilized as designed.
Develop end-user documentation or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.
Provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle.
Assists with system build, data validation and system testing.
Systems Analyst III
Support and design department project assignments and small system implementation.
Provide input to solution development efforts.
Complete assignments as directed.
Maintains schedules.
Track information system resources for assigned projects.
Report on project time-lines and documents performance.
Develop work products, documentation of operational and business objectives, best technology capabilities and task level resource requirements.
Maintain project task plans, documentation and communications.
Other duties as assigned.
Epic Systems Analyst II
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field such as nursing, pharmacy assistant, medical assistant, medical technology or EMT
*For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of position start date
3 years of applicable hospital or major medical center clinical experience or 2 years of recent experience supporting a major clinical information system
OR Associate’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience
OR High School diploma/GED and more than 5 years of relevant experience can substitute required experience
OR Masters Degree and 2 years of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Familiarity with Epic applications including Beacon, Genomics, Phoenix, Kaleidoscope, and Revenue cycle applications
Systems Analyst III
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
5 years of experience in information technology dealing with applications development and support, or end user training, or equivalent experience in an operational or financial role utilizing the systems or data generated by the systems supported by this position
OR High School diploma/GED and 7 years of experience
OR Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree
Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent certification
Familiarity with Epic applications including Beacon, Genomics, Phoenix, Kaleidoscope, and Revenue cycle applications
*The compensation range provided corresponds to the Epic Systems Analyst II or Systems Analyst III position. Individual pay rates may vary depending on Education Background and Relevant Experience. *
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
