The Systems Administrator I monitors the Tier 1 and/or 2 server operations/performance using appropriate software applications and tools. The Administrators shall be the Helpdesk POC for all theater NIPR and SIPR enterprise systems issues, create and/or manage trouble tickets, and monitor status and report outages to NOC Operations. Responsibilities
Operates and maintains all aspects of server administration to include, but is not limited to, Active Directory Organization Units (OU), objects (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), Domain Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Servers such as GemOne.Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts as necessary.Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and SIPR-REL.Management of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).Utilize vSphere clients to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.Maintains system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).Utilize AESMP ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and or escalating to the next level of support.Performs other duties and assignments as required
