Job Title: Systems Administrator

Job Description

This role is open due to a significant R&D program aimed at updating their medical device product. The company has been collaborating with consultants in Europe and needs local support to enhance hardware communication and overcome time zone challenges. The Systems Administrator will join a dedicated compute to networking team responsible for defining operating systems, creating configurations, and deploying OS for the product.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the hardware requirements of the medical device product.Define operating systems and create configurations.Deploy operating systems for the product.Upgrade major operating systems including Windows 11 and Linux to enhance cybersecurity and network patching.Vet new hardware for integration with existing systems.Essential SkillsProficiency in Linux administration and Windows operating systems.Experience in test automation.Knowledge of Juniper and Cisco firewalls.Expertise in IP networking and network configurations.Understanding of networking protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering.3+ years of experience working as a Systems Administrator.3+ years of experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.3+ years of experience upgrading operating systems.3+ years of experience in networking firewalls and switch configuration (Cisco or Juniper).3+ years of experience in administering a network.3+ years of experience creating networking requirements and test documentation.Work Environment

The Systems Administrator will work onsite at the office, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
