System Test Engineer – Mission Distribution System (TMPC/TWS)
Leidos is seeking a System Test Engineer to join our team at the Washington Navy Yard, supporting the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) segment of the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). In this role, you will focus on Mission Distribution System (MDS) testing and transition to TMPC-level test engineering under a Product Assurance contract with the US Navy Cruise Missile Project.
What You’ll Do
Analyze requirements, software design, specifications, and user documentationDevelop and execute test plans and procedures (functional, integration, regression, etc.)Record, report, and track test results and issuesCreate operational test scenarios and participate in milestone reviewsConduct site acceptance testing at domestic and international end-user locations (up to 10% travel)Participate in engineering review boards, evaluating products and processesWork independently to meet daily objectives and collaborate with internal experts on technical challengesCommunicate regularly with project teams, management, and external customersEnsure project schedules and performance requirements are metContribute to organizational goals, objectives, and process improvementsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience (additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)Proficiency in relevant computer application languages, technologies, and toolsStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsExperience in verification and validation: developing test cases, executing procedures, documenting issues, and reporting resultsActive Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.Preferred Qualifications
