Job Description
This position involves conducting System Safety analysis following the latest standards, including the person-STD-882, Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) 385-17, and other applicable government-directed standards. The role requires maintaining a safety assignment throughout the program’s lifecycle and collaborating with various disciplines.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement system safety programs on complex system development contracts.Prepare and maintain a Hazard Tracking System, System Safety Management Plan, and System Safety Program Plan.Support the System Safety Working Group charter.Assess system risks to personnel, equipment, and/or the environment.Conduct Preliminary Hazard List, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Requirements Hazard Analysis, Subsystem Hazard Analysis, System Hazard Analysis, Health Hazard Analysis, Functional Hazard Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis.Essential SkillsProficiency in safety engineering and Mil Standard 882E.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years of system safety engineering experience.Familiarity with the person STD 1472G.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office products.Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to travel for program events and training activities 20% of the time.Work Environment
This role requires two weeks of on-site training in St. Louis, MO and may involve additional travel 1-2 times a year. Eligible candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Benefits will be provided on the clients end after interview. They offer health, vision dental, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, 11 paid holidays.
