Job Description

The powertrain customer team is responsible for Bosch Powertrain Passenger Car sales and application to Jaguar Land Rover. Our Software, Application, Sales and Project management engineers are located in UK , India and Germany. This position is based at the JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) customer site in Whitley close to Coventry, UK. 

Coordinate and undertake system readiness to enable BOSCH software validation packagesDataset management/calibration integrationSoftware validation of fuel system, air system, torque system, monitoring, exhaust after-treatment systems, diagnostics on the vehicles/HIL/PIL.Support trouble shooting of customer engines/vehiclesSupport customer environment test trips (cold, hot, altitude etc)1st point of contact for customer (Software, Hardware and Calibration) for any technical issues - "face of Bosch" to the customerSupporting onsite activities of other Bosch associates at customer siteSupport customer in first firing of new SW deliveries in Hardware in the Loop (HIL) system, on engine dynamometer and in vehicleProviding technical information to customer - supporting in understanding Bosch technical documentations (SW strategy book, Hardware i/o plan, ...)Work on customer sites – full time - embedded into customer teams

QualificationsDegree in a relevant engineering subject eg  Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or significant relevant experience.Experience with engine management systems, electronic diesel / gasoline control calibration, and vehicle systems.Experience with ECU software and associated calibration functionalities.Able to work in a practical environment with test benches (HIL/PIL) and vehicles.Able to quickly build awareness of program plans, key milestones and deliverables from both Bosch & customer.Customer orientation: ability to understand customer needs and to negotiate for solutionsWay of working: self-reliant, systematic, reliable, showing initiative and responsibilityGood standard of written and spoken EnglishValid driving licence, experience on public roads and test trackAble to travel locally and internationally as required in the role, to fulfil customer requirements and develop your capability.

Proficient in usage of INCA, debugger, CANalyzer and customer specific tools and knowledge about different ECU generations would be desirable (MDG1/MEDC17).
