This job posting is for an Engineer within the Generation East Engineering team. This position provides engineering support for a coal fired station, simple cycle stations, and a Hydro Station by resolving problems, creating and implementing engineering solutions, and participating in cross functional teams. This is done while utilizing a strong technical conscience and maintaining a good questioning attitude.
Responsibilities Providing technical guidance for problem-solvingRepresenting the company professionallyOverseeing contractor workPreparing work packages for equipment repairsManaging outage inspections and closuresProviding support in work management processSupporting risk assessment and plant health initiativesMaintaining accurate recordsDeveloping positive working relationships and demonstrating effective verbal and written communication skillsApplying fundamental engineering concepts and practicesManaging engineering projects with increasing independencePreparing detailed technical reports and documentationContributing to team decision-making and project managementBasic QualificationsMust have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited programA Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.
