Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our System Manager, SSRM Category Manager, you will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories, optimizing value, and driving efficiency across our system-wide supply chain.
The Category Manager is responsible for developing and leading multiple savings initiatives within the category team, with primary focus on cost reduction opportunities, contract utilization and standardization initiatives. This position requires internal and external contacts at senior levels, to exert influence and affect opinion on key issues related to sourcing initiatives, utilization and compliance.
Every day you will lead cross-functional teams in category planning, market analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management for critical spend areas.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills, a deep understanding of strategic sourcing principles and supply chain management, and proven experience in category management, preferably within a complex healthcare or large enterprise environment.

Required
Bachelors Other in Accounting, Finance or Business/Healthcare Administration and Minimum of five (5) years of contracting, supply chain, or clinical experience with evidence of progressive, increasing responsibility., upon hireMinimum of two (2) years project management experienceExperience maintaining a category of healthcare products or services, analyzing industry trends and conditions, and implementing sourcing strategies andExperience with and literate in supply chain computer applications, Microsoft Office or Google applications and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goalsDemonstrated project management experience and the ability to prioritize and manage highly sensitive competing projects
