Resumo do Cargo
The purpose of this position is to support the integration of Eaton automated mechanical transmissions with various OEM chassis and with electronic diesel engines, providing functional strategies to optimize performance and drivability, as analyze customers’ requirements and support product development to meet such requirements. Also support to eMobility related developments, new actuators, sub-systems and new products spaces.    
    
Responsabilidades do cargo
A. Work with engine/electric motor & vehicle OEMs to support the development & validation of system functionality & optimal performance with Eaton Automated Transmissions to Eaton & customer requirements/specifications.
B. Communicate Eaton transmission interface requirements to engine manufacturers & vehicle OEMs and assist in development and integration of optimum engine/motor/transmission performance.
C. Support performance guidelines, requirements, and specifications for vehicle OEMs, engine OEMs, and transmission product teams.
D. Provide/communicate to engine & transmission organizations with approval/rejection disposition of transmission compatibility with engine or vehicle versus performance requirements or customer expectations.
E. Identify root cause and corrective action associated with the engine or vehicle AMT-integration
F. Interface with end-user customers or field service to ensure optimal powertrain performance or to address engine/vehicle-transmission integration issues.
G. Support guidelines, requirements, and specifications for engine OEMs, truck OEMs, & transmission product teams.
H. Make use of engineering tools such as DFMEA,DFSS, DFM/DFA and Concurrent Engineering in order to attend organizational target of a flawless launch.
I. Analyze customer technical requirements and standards and adequately address eventual necessary changes to the engineering center responsible for the respective transmission platform and/or to Manufacturing, SCM, Quality, etc.
J. Eaton new systems development. Including new actuators and electronics system.

Education:
Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Automation, or Mechatronics.


Required Technical knowledge:

A. Vector tools: knowledge on CANAPE and/or CANalyzer.

B. Experience or knowledge of any communication protocols such as UDS or J1939.

C. Advanced English level.

Desirable Technical knowledge:

A. Six Sigma tools knowledge for product development;
B. Expertise on MatLab/Simulink;
C. Knowledge on new product development process and tools (DFMEA, DVP, DAP, Change Management, Concurrent Engineering, Design for Assembly);
D. Demonstrated strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills;
E. ISO 26262, ASpice and ISO IATF standards awareness;
F. Digital Mindset, exploring new ways to solve problems with available technology.

Requisitos legais (específicos para o país)
The incumbent will be required to possess or capable of acquiring a Commercial Driver’s License to perform many of the responsibilities of the position, Category B (passenger car) required for that. Category D (target) / E (desirable);
