We are seeking a System Engineer II to join our System Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in the development and documentation of requirements and interfaces, as well as design analysis, modeling and simulation, system integration, and trade studies. You will play a critical role in ensuring system compliance through the documentation and execution of system verification processes.  This position is Full-Time, located On-Site in Indianapolis, Indiana in support of System Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Team.

What You Will Do

Assist in the development and documentation of requirements and interfaces, and perform design analysis, modeling and simulation, system integration, and trade studiesProvide support for system verification activities to demonstrate compliance with established requirementsIntegrate software and hardware subsystems to ensure seamless operationApply a structured, data-driven approach to identify and solve problems effectivelyContribute to the achievement of project and program milestones under the general guidance of supervisors and team leadersAdhere to established systems engineering processes and procedures to maintain consistency and quality in project deliverables

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experienceSystem Engineering experience to include development, derivation, requirements and/or modeling and simulation, verification and validation, and data analysisTroubleshooting and resolving issues, to include conducting root cause analysis, and performing trade studiesIntegration of software and hardware subsystemsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
