SYSTEM DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC ANALYTICS | Work From Home/Remote

WFH/Remote anywhere in the US (Eastern/Central Time Zone Preferred)

Reports to: Chief Strategic Planning and Consulting Officer

# of Direct Reports: 3-4

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The System Director, Strategic Analytics, leads strategy development and overall implementation of information and knowledge critical to meeting the system's strategic goals and initiatives.  Ensures the validity and replicability of data analytics and sources.  Provides support to Marketing on the development of consumer primary and secondary research

Essential Job Functions

Recommends and implements strategies and methodologies to strengthen strategic planning and business development analytic methods and solutions.  Including, but not limited to, extraction of data, report formatting, and development of evaluative criteria.

Identifies and utilizes internal and external resources to reproduce, evaluate, research, and improve techniques, bring in new techniques or modify existing techniques.

Develops measurement and evaluative tools for system, especially in area of Service Lines, Physician Provider Relations, Ambulatory Services, Consumer Insights and Business Development, in concert with area leaders. Identifies potential shortfalls and/or new opportunities and is flexible/nimble in creating and revising plan to ensure objectives are met.

Serves as an active leader on system level committees/councils relating to analytics development in order to develop strong measurement framework and learning agenda visualizations for internal and external clients.

Works with system and market  leadership, well as vendor partners to establish a collaborative, integrated, and coherent market data analytics ecosystem and corresponding culture with transparent, streamlined, and regulatory compliant processes for optimal data access and ease of use.  Collaborative partnerships include Finance, Business Development, Decision Support, Business Intelligence.

Works closely with Nordic and other key stakeholders to establish vision and direction for data architecture, storage and access solutions.

Develops self service solutions and functionality to empower leaders across the organization to access and view reports.

Leverages claims database to provide new planning and business development insight while ensuring data utilization is within prescribed guidelines.

Manages assigned staff and serve as a convenor of strategy analyst for training, professional development, and best practice sharing.

Manages all stages of quantitative and qualitative market research studies to answer key business questions, including research proposals, research methodology design, operational execution, analysis and reporting

Facilitates development of consumer segmentation and marketing research across the system.

Provides consultation to System and Strategy executive leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (required)

Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration (preferred)

Work Experience

7 years of related experience (required)

5 years healthcare experience (required)

Skills

Hard/Tech/Clinical Skills:

Must have the business acumen to enable effective working partnerships with key organizational leaders, including but not limited to Strategy, Service Lines, IT, Business Development, Marketing, Managed Care, Financial, Clinical and Operational leaders at the system and market level.

High proficiency in financial, statistical, and technical analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, data modeling, and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools.

Strong understanding of data architecture and reporting applications, including database management, ETL/automation workflows, cloud environments, and BI dashboard development.
