System Architect - SAP Sales and Distribution
Eaton’s Corporate Information Technology team is hiring a System Architect – SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) in one of our IT Hub locations including Beachwood, OH, Galesburg MI, Houston TX, Menomonee Falls WI, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC. This position requires 25% travel on average. Candidates must live within 50 miles of these locations as relocation assistance is not available. As a Systems Architect you will be responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for Quote-to-Cash capabilities within SAP S4 SD, with a focus on business sales operations, quote-to-cash processes, and customer service functions (highly integrated, multiple applications) that enable them to support current and future business needs. You will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution. The primary responsibility entails designing, modeling, configuring, and implementing tailored solutions to meet specific business requirements, with the focus on SAP Sales and Distribution. You will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader architecture guardrails. **What you'll do:** • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution (SD), including core functionalities, integrations, and end-to-end business processes. • Articulate complex system challenges and decision points effectively to senior-level leaders at divisional or regional levels, using accessible business language • Lead the design and standardization of global target processes within SAP SD to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide business objectives. • Lead and participate in the planning, definition, development, and high-level design of complex product solutions and architectural alternatives • Enable a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines • Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches • Establish and communicate critical nonfunctional requirements • Consider the impact economic boundaries have on design decisions and operate accordingly **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution • Minimum of 10 years of SAP Systems Architecture experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in roles focusing on Order Management/Quote to Cash/SD processes within SAP • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience within a multinational organization • Minimum 10 years of experience in roles focusing on SD processes within SAP Skills: • Expert knowledge of core SD processes such as ATP, pricing, logistics execution, and billing, with a focus on S/4HANA • Strong understanding of integration (IDOC, ODATA, BAPI, SOAP, batch, ETL, API, event driven architecture, etc.), SD, analytics, and core SAP modules • Knowledgeable of S/4 technical development (custom field and logic, CDS views, embedded analytics, ODATA, side-by-side extensions, etc.) • Strong Knowledge of SAP products, such as Fiori, and BTP iterations of SAP ECC and S/4 HANA 2023• Demonstrated experience with in architecting complex hybrid landscapes with multiple boundary systems, integration patterns, and tools • Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering • Extensive experience developing enterprise grade, highly scalable, highly performant applications and/or distributed systems • Extensive experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban • Experience with multiple cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, SAP RISE and GCP.
