As part of our IT team, you’ll do more than explore and expand your discipline and skills — you’ll impact patients everywhere by delivering world-class care. As System Administrator I, you maintain workstations and peripherals to ensure the highest level of availability and reliability. In this role, you will administer LAN and desktop tools, hardware, software, and peripheral installations or configurations, as well as MACs, small projects, problem resolution, and documentation.
A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday in Northeast Ohio from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m., with on-call coverage for one week from 4:30 p.m. -- 8:00 a.m. every other month and will travel up to 75% of the time.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Maintain workstations and peripherals at the highest level of availability and reliability.
Administer LAN and desktop tools, hardware, software and peripheral installations or configurations, MACS, small project, problem resolution and documentation.
Clearly and consistently communicate all desktop technology operational directions established for the enterprise.
Consult on desktop applications and configurations to improve employee productivity.
Troubleshoot software, hardware, protocol and workstations.
Provide first and second level diagnostic Help Desk support for hardware, software, operating systems and peripherals.
Recommend, design, build and support PC workstations.
Build and maintain detailed workstation documentation including configuration of desktop software and impact of additions, deletions or upgrades to the workstation.
Assume responsibility for ongoing support requirements of the client area including responsibilities for all hardware components.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
Six months of information systems experience supporting small to mid-sized (5-100 node) network
For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of position start date
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
In some locations, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
