KBR, is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join us in supporting our great nation, supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) development team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage cloud-based information systems, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and securityHarden information systems against NIST, DoD, and IC security requirements to include the NIST 800-53 and 800-171 controls, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactivelyCollaborate with development teams to deploy applications and ensure they meet scalability, reliability, and security requirementsManage and automate routine administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.Stay up-to-date with and implement the latest industry technologies, trends, and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of new and existing systems and applicationsLead or attend meetings with system stakeholders to discuss statuses of efforts

Qualifications:

Required:

Security Clearance: Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtainEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in computer, information systems or related fieldDoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+)Experience with cloud service providers (CSPs) (e.g. AWS, Azure)Git/GitLab experienceExperience with programming (scripting) languages (i.e. Bash, Python, .Net or Java)Apache open-source products (i.e. NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper)Security+Experience with Virtual Machines and Type 1 hypervisors, e.g. KVM, ESXiDemonstrated experience with Linux (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux)Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Puppet, and AnsibleExperience in implementing DISA STIGs and SRGsExcellent oral and written communication skills

Basic Compensation: $94,800 - $142,100 (For the Colorado Springs Area Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
