Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a System Administrator in Hazelwood, MO. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining program IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems under the supervision of senior IT staff. This role involves installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security through the implementation of firewalls, antivirus programs, and access controls. The System Administrator troubleshoots technical issues, performs regular system backups, and restores data as needed to minimize downtime. Additionally, they collaborate with other IT staff to plan and execute system upgrades, enforce IT policies, and provide technical support to users, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of all IT services.

Position Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systemsMonitor system performance and ensure reliability and availabilityManage user accounts, permissions, and access controlsImplement and maintain security measures, including switches and antivirus softwarePerform regular system backups and data recovery operationsTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issuesApply software patches, updates, and system upgradesDocument system configurations, procedures, and changesCollaborate with IT team members to plan and execute infrastructure improvementsProvide technical support and training to end-usersEnsure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry regulationsMonitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Active U.S. Secret Security clearance or higherCurrent CompTIA Security+ CertificationBasic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows and/or Linux) and networking conceptsFamiliarity with server installation, configuration, and maintenanceAbility to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issuesGood communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesBasic knowledge of backup and recovery procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Knowledge of common scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are advantageousExperience working in a classified environmentExperience with STIGS

Summary base pay range $67,500 - $76,000
