System Administrator

Actalent is currently seeking a qualified System Administrator for a position in the Portland Metro Area.

This System Administrator position is located in the Desktop Delivery (JNRD) organization of End User Services (JNR), Information Technology (J) at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to provide system administration of Microsoft Intune cloud service to provision, support, and control BPA smartphone devices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer the Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) application:Managing user permissions, groups, and privilegesPerformance monitoring and tuningPatch compliance monitoring and deploymentAssist with application upgradesResearch, design, and apply appropriate configuration settings for smartphone devices, phone groups, roles, and role-based provisioning of services and applicationsCreate reports on utilization, compliance, roll variance, etc. for management reviewWork with other system component providers (networking, server operations, etc.), SaaS vendor, or telecom vendors to ensure correct operation of the Intune MDM systemDraft, edit, and update process and technical support documentation.Utilize property management system (Sunflower) to record any IT equipment that arrives in or leaves the possession of the technician.Troubleshoot calls from the IT Service Desk and start the resolution process, coordinating with other subject matter experts as required:Solve technical issues in a professional manner or escalate in a timely fashionSupply 3rd tier, advanced technical support for smartphone devicesSupply 3rd tier, advanced technical support related to desktop technologies Prioritize work with a focus on client satisfaction and follow-through based on established procedures and guidance from BPA manager.Understand the IT working environment sufficiently to explain technical issues and solutions to a wide range of technical and non-technical clients.

Qualifications

An associate degree in computer/information technology (or related technical discipline) is preferred.5 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree.7 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.Experience should be in information technology performing System Administration.1 year of experience supporting smartphone devices.1 year of experience with Microsoft Intune (or similar) MDM application.1 year of experience with the following:Provisioning smartphone devices in an enterprise environmentConfiguring settings to enable and administer system and software operational and security functionsChange management practices and concepts to facilitate technical change to a large audienceConfiguration control practices and concepts to ensure a stable operational environmentExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house developed software applications and delivery toolsTroubleshooting Microsoft Windows 11 in an enterprise environment

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate certification.Apple Certified IT Professional.ITIL V4 Foundations Certification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $48.00/hr.
