Job Summary / Purpose

The System Manager for Meetings and Events will report directly to the System Director  and oversee and manage the operations for all department and corporate events

The System Manager for Meetings and Events is highly organized, has great time management skills, and extensive event planning and management experience, including: writing RFPs, identifying venues, negotiating contracts, handling event registration, managing budgets, branding and communications, and coordinating all aspects of conference/meeting logistics. 

The System Manager for Meetings and Events will assist with the development of success metrics and will monitor ROI to adjust actions to meet agreed upon goals and respond quickly to challenges, risk and opportunities.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

Plays a key role in implementing solutions that result in successful customer outcomes contributing to fulfillment of program and engagement goals. Conducts thorough business diagnostics to identify, quantify and prioritize value creation projects.Oversee the formulation and implementation of event strategy, budget, branding and communications for all internal and external events, including national-level and special events. Work with event and meetings industry vendors and internal teamsand leadership to ensure the event planning and execution align with departmental and corporate business strategy, mission, vision and values.Oversee and manage end-to-end logistics of events, including registration management, purchasing, invoicing, and event feedback surveys, in coordination with customers, vendors, and assigned planners.Support the System Director of the Meetings and Events Department in developing and implementing special projects and coordinating operational administration, including, reviewing analytics and financial statements, managing profitability programs & how it relates to the full event during the proposal stage of the program.
Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

3 + years experience in operational decision-making responsibilities, experience in event management, and strategic planning at a large, regionally dispersed company.

Related experience in DMC, production, hotels, event planning, social events or within related creative industries.

Project management, marketing/communications experience and database management are a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing/Communications or other related field, preferred

Licensure:

Accreditation in Meetings Industry, preferred
