Systems Administrator II (C4ISR)

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

Monitor and maintain the health and performance of C4ISR systemsWorking as a Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)/ Multi-Resolution Federations (MRF) simulation operator.Perform regular system updates, patches, and backupsTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issuesDeploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (to include cabling) for exercises, training events and/or special projectsConfigure and optimize systems to meet operational requirementsIntegrate, install, operate, maintain and system administration of various C4ISR components including MCIS, other systems as identified and systems in a LVC environmentCollaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperabilityImplement and manage security policies and configurationsMaintain documentation for system configurations and changesConfigure and optimize systems to meet operational requirementsImplement and manage security policies and configurationsMaintain documentation for system configurations and changesProvides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials  Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel  Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basisProvides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced system administratorMay serve as a technical team or task leader Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, Army regulations AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39, as well as following guidance from other cyber agencies in USARPAC CSPMO, and NETCOM Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, systems administration or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or trainingExperience: 5+ years of related experience; Military and MTC experience preferredRequired Technical skills:Technical expertise in C4ISR systems and related technologies; Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices;Experienced in configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software systems to include routers, switches, firewalls, VoIPs and SharePoints;Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL and NoSQLCertification: DoD 8140 & 8570 IAM I (Security+ CE) Compliant CertificationSecurity Clearance: Secret Clearance required to startUS Citizenship RequiredRole requirements:Expert knowledge in MCIS Platform. Expert knowledge in System AdministrationSuperb communication skills;Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, create, and/ or modify computer documentation related to Linux based simulation systems, to include MS Windows 11, MS Windows Servers, VMWare and Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation Server/ Bridges for training exercisesStrong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on C4ISR systems; Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions;Ability to resolve complex technical issuesLocation: On Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
