In our multicultural HVDC control team you will design, implement and verify control systems for HVDC substations, in cooperation with project management, system- and equipment designers as well as with our customers. Firstly, you will prepare concepts for control functions and implement these functions in DIGSI. Afterwards you will integrate and verify these functions together with your team colleagues in a hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test setup.
You will share your knowledge by creating documentation and performing trainings with colleagues as well as customers.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
• Design of BCU-based substation control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC)
• Implementation of control software in as well as verification using simulation tools and real-time test environments
• Preparation of design specifications, documentation and effort estimations
• Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
• Remote support during commissioning and service of HVDC systems
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
• University degree in electrical engineering with focus on energy technology and first professional experience
• Very good knowledge in parameterization of bay control units (BCUs), ideally of SIPROTEC 5 devices with DIGSI and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart)
• Experience in the realization of the standard IEC61850 for substation control and for data exchange with higher level automation and SCADA systems
• Good knowledge in high voltage and substation technology as well as in the design of interlocking schemes and automated control sequences
• Good knowledge in secondary interfaces of high voltage components such as switching devices, transformers, CTs and VTs
• Very good English language skills
